Our Story | Dance School Founded by Rachael in 2008
Tiptoes & Tappers was founded in 2008 by Rachael, a former professional dancer who moved to Greenwich from Islington. After a successful dance career, Rachael wanted to continue her work in the dance industry and share the transformative benefits of dance in developing creative, independent children.
Over the years, Rachael has developed her own unique teaching style, blending music, dance, and proven methods drawn from her extensive experience working with all the major dance organizations in the UK. Her approach combines the best of traditional techniques with innovative practices to inspire and nurture the next generation of dancers.
Tiptoes & Tappers Curriculum | BBODance Examinations & Dance Education
The Tiptoes & Tappers curriculum is shaped by the vast experience of our teachers and has been refined over time to ensure a comprehensive and engaging dance education. While our curriculum is uniquely designed, exams are taken with BBODance, a globally recognized organization. Through our partnership with BBODance, Tiptoes & Tappers examinations are recognized not only within the dance world but are increasingly valued as part of your child’s core learning experience.
Founded in 1930 by the renowned Espinoza family, the British Ballet Organisation (BBO), now known as BBODance, has long advocated "dance for all". It is committed to providing opportunities for individuals to acquire dance technique, artistry, and performance skills. BBODance has created a safe and developmental programme of dance study that recognizes students' progress and achievements through examinations.
BBODance offers an Examination Syllabus in Classical Ballet, Tap, Jazz, and Modern Dance, designed to accommodate a wide range of candidates with varying ages, experience, and levels of achievement.
BBODance Recognition | OFQUAL, ACCAC, and CCEA Accredited Exams
BBODance is officially recognized by the Government’s Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (OFQUAL), the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority Wales (ACCAC), and the Council for the Curriculum, Examinations and Assessment (CCEA) in Northern Ireland. This recognition ensures that BBODance examinations are accredited and meet the highest standards of dance education.
